Terms and Conditions of Booking
When you make a booking you are entering into an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions below:
To make a booking
Please telephone Helen Hornsby on 01697 320936 or email Helen to check if the lodge is available on the required dates. A 25% non-refundable deposit is payable at time of booking. If however you are booking within eight weeks of your holiday payment must be made in full when confirming your holiday together with the refundable damage deposit of £100.00. This can be paid by forwarding a cheque. We will send you an e mail or letter confirming your booking. Non-payment of the final balance by the due date (8 weeks prior to holiday commencement) will constitute cancellation of your holiday and forfeit of your deposit.
Holiday Cost
The prices quoted are in £ Sterling and for accommodation including all electricity, gas, hot water, heating, bed-linen and towels.
Cancellation & Insurance
Once we have confirmed your booking our agreement is a legal contract and your deposit is non-refundable. If for whatever reason you cannot take your holiday and the booking cannot be re-let you are still liable for the balance in full even if we have not yet received it. For this reason we strongly recommend you take out cancellation insurance which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker. If we do succeed in re-letting your booking you are no longer liable for the balance, or we will refund (75%) it if you have already paid.
Non-availability of Accommodation
We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however, if this were not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Short Breaks
These can be arranged out of season and at short notice during the high-season. Please telephone 016973 20936 to discuss your requirements.
Travel Cot and High chair
Please inform on booking of your requirements. £10.00 for cot and £5.00 for high chair. We do not provide linen for the cot.
Children
Please note that children remain the responsibility of their parents/guardian at all times.
Arrival
Your accommodation will be available to you from 4:00pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. Please do not arrive early - we will still be preparing your accommodation. Keys can be collected from the owner (next door to the lodge) on arrival/elsewhere by prior arrangement.
Departure
Please leave the accommodation by 10:00am on the day of departure, and leave it in a clean and tidy condition. Also report any damage/breakage before departure noting that damage/breakage caused through neglect may be charged for.
Security & Liability
You are responsible for leaving the accommodation secure during the period of let. We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves.
No. of Occupants and Responsibility
The number of occupants shall not exceed the stated number for the lodge. You are responsible for preventing any member of your party from causing a nuisance, disturbance or unreasonable behaviour towards other residents in the surrounding area and we reserve the right to terminate the holiday in these circumstances and the hirer will not be entitled to a refund.
Entry by Owner
If necessary we reserve the right to enter the property at any time, but whenever possible notice and times will be given.
Smoking
Smoking is forbidden inside Westnewton Lodge.
Data
Any data collected during the course of this booking may be kept on a computer.
Variation
We reserve the right to make reasonable amendments or additions to these terms and conditions without notice.
